Vision : Serenity. Wholeness. Celebrations!
Mission: To build a place where individuals, families, communities, and
organizations can come together to:
1. learn, heal, grow, and become;
2. celebrate life's timeless moments; and
3. praise nature's magnificence.
Who We Are
We are composed of two extended Catholic families in the Philippines.
Letty and I are lifelong friends. Her family and mine have a small piece of land in Panungyan I, Mendez, Cavite. Sometime in 2010, Letty and family begged off from active involvement in developing the piece of land.
Also in 2010, my daughter-in-law Ezra battled cancer. She almost died from the mainstream prescription of surgery, chemo, and radiation. Clinging to dear life, she switched to food therapy and faith. My son, grandchildren aged 9 and 7, and other extended family members and friends around the globe prayed the Holy Rosary on a daily basis from July to September 2010. We begged Mother Mary to intercede with the Holy Trinity for Ezra's complete healing.
In gratitude for our answered prayer, we built a grass-roofed Grotto of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on the piece of land which belongs to Letty's family and mine in Mendez, Cavite, Philippines in May 2011. The very spot on which the Grotto was built, its design, and the statue of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal were all inspired by Mother Mary through a dream.
Realizing the miraculous power of the Holy Rosary through the centuries, we started building a Rosary Garden in 2012. With 59 rose-designed stepping stones and several pocket gardens, it is a lovely 'greenhouse' where children can learn how to pray the Holy Rosary in an interactive and deeply meaningful manner.
But simply memorizing and reciting the Holy Rosary is pointless. Therefore, we built a Greenhouse Meeting Place where children can, first of all, learn about the origin and development of the Holy Rosary. We have designed a Children's Rosary Learning Journey and a Rosary Camp which employ a methodology derived from the multiple intelligences theory of Howard Gardner (1983).
We are laypersons with many shortcomings and weaknesses. We have overcome/are overcoming several trials. We have healed or are healing from some of our personal wounds. We are grateful for divine help that's always within our reach -- hands clasped in prayer.
We welcome you to the Faithful Shepherd's Garden in the spirit of humility, forgiveness, gratitude, joy, and love!
Let's celebrate the gifts of life,
family, friendship, good health, nature, and faith!
